Find out how much recreational weed in Queensland costs per gram, quarter, half and ounce. Why is illegal marijuana cheaper than legal medical cannabis in Brisbane and the Gold Coast?

Brisbane and the Gold Coast are famous for their abundant amount of cannabis. Being close to Numbin (NSW), the weed hub of Australia supplies South East Queensland with high-quality marijuana at a reasonable price.

Note: this article is here to promote and compare the legal price of cannabis with the black-market price of illegal marijuana or weed. We do not encourage the illicit purchasing of cannabis.

Even though its not the cheapest in Australia, Brisbane and the Gold Coast have a consistent supply of high quality weed.

For recreational cannabis on the black market, you can expect to pay around $270 for a standard ounce (28 grams) and upwards of $350 for a high-quality organic batch.

To make a comparison with legal, medical cannabis, an ounce in Brisbane can set you back $800 or more. Due to medical laws, the prices of legal marijuana aren’t advertised, so these prices may change.
